A Quarantine Easter 2020

This Easter was a bit different for our family, as it was for the rest of the country. We made the decision four weeks ago that our neighbors, and close friends, the Robinsons would be in our quarantine family. All adults in each family are fortunate enough to work from home and besides one person in each family grocery shopping it is the only people we see on a weekly basis. This quarantine friendship has offered us plenty of memories, including celebrating easter together this past weekend.

For the first time in 10 years we have not been able to visit the Easter Bunny for pictures, but we were lucky enough for him to visit us and drop us some treats! We took some Easter pictures around our neighborhood and in our yard.

We decorated eggs as we always do and even made some salt dough Easter egg ornaments to decorate the house.

On Sunday we had Easter lunch with the Robinsons, had an Easter egg hunt, and played some games. It was a nice day and we are lucky to be quarantined with such good friends!

Charlotte's 9th Birthday Sleepover

Charlotte celebrated her birthday on the last weekend before we started our COVID 19 stay at home journey. She had seven of her best friends come over to help celebrate. On a very exciting Friday night we had pizza, cup cake decorating, manicures and tattoos given by some of Charlotte’s favorite adults, decorated sleeping masks, popcorn and a movie and everyone slept over that night! In the morning we had a pancake breakfast, punch prize box, and some play time outside.

Sorry the post is so late, things have been a little busy yet calm and overall weird around our house over the past month! Enjoy the pictures!

Charlotte is 9

It is hard to believe that this is Charlotte’s last single digit birthday. Her life and pictures demonstrate that she is turning into a young woman. Charlotte is becoming a kind and compassionate friend at school, an amazing helper and leader at home and awesome person to be around. She loves to read and draw. She loves playing outside. And she loves her dog, June. Can’t wait to see what this year brings!

A builder's 7th birthday party

This year Ollie’s party was all about building. The decorations were construction-y. The book was about an architect. We designed, built and painted bird houses. We ate a cake shaped like a hammer and everyone really enjoyed the party.

It’s hard to believe that Oliver is this big. Seems like he’s grown so much recently and everyday is a fun adventure with him around. Here’s to our sweet baby boy!

Oliver is 7

What a year it’s been for Oliver James. In the past 12 months Ollie moved to a new house, graduated Kindergarten, played on a soccer team, learned how to swim in the deep end, went to the beach, got a new puppy, and the list goes on and on.

Ollie is such a great kid and he wants to be friends with everyone he meets. It has been so much fun to discover the young man that he is becoming and we can’t wait to see how he grows over the next year.

Happy Birthday Oliver!
