people in protest

It has been a great adventure writing the blog for jayhess.com.  It is always so much fun to see how many viewers we have and to hear people’s comments about the blog.  It is a great way for family and friends that live so far away to stay connected to our little family. One of my favorite parts of each month is Charlotte’s monthly updates the fifteenth of each month.  I love to try to do something a little different each month and hear/read people’s reactions.  Well, last months blog was not welcomed by many readers at all. People protested. They wanted words, paragraphs and pictures. So here is my second attempt at five months! :)

From the instant she turned the corner into her fourth month, her personality completed changed.  She suddenly got a cute, giigling, little girl personality.  She began to be completely happy sitting in her bumbo watching Jay and I work in the kitchen for an extended period of time.  One of her favorite activities is looking and laughing at herself in the mirror.  When she is cranky during the evening hours her favorite place is to be in her baby carrier, attached to me as I pick up the house, vacuum, do laundry or unload the dishwasher.  She now has many preferences as she goes throughout the day.  Typically she rotates through toys and activities every fifteen minutes or so.  She still loves being in her bouncy seat, but loves to sit in her bumbo and watch us cook, play in her gym, play in her excersuaser and she is just now discovering the johnny-jump-up.  Every day we spend a good amount of time playing on the floor reading books.  She can listen to about seven books straight before she gets bored, so I am hoping that she will be a book worm!

We have fun everyday playing laughing and giggling, now she is napping at least three times a day and sometimes four.  Sometimes she sleeps really well and sometimes she has to cry a little.  We are in the midst of sleep training still, but she has improved so much and our lives and have become so much easier.  We end everyday with a bike ride or a walk and a bath.

From the day she turned four moths, she has become such a cool and fun kid!  We are excited to see what she becomes in her fifth month!
