Today we had an open house for Charlotte to meet all of her aunt’s, uncle’s, grandma’s, grandpa’s and cousins. Here are some of her favorite parts of today!

We had a busy weekend; Kentucky Derby, Baby Dedication at A10 and Mother’s Day. Jay and Charlotte, ready for the Kentucky Derby on Saturday. Charlotte sporting her handmade derby hat. This is a great reversible bonnet pattern from a blog I read, Made by Rae.
Part of my wonderful breakfast for mother’s day. Yummy mom pancakes and some surprises from Jay including Charlotte in her I heart mommy onesie.
We had baby dedication at A10, Charlotte slept like a champ through the whole service including when she was up on stage. I was very thankful that we made it through the service with some grace in front of the whole church! Her verse that she was dedicated with was: Pslam 139:14
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
After church we went to lunch at one of my favorite restaurants, Sette. It was fantastic, we sat outside, it was a gorgeous day and Charlotte slept the whole time!
I also had my first glass of wine in over a year...
followed by fantastic fried mozzarella and a greek salad with salmon that I dug into before I took a picture!
At lunch, Charlotte gave me her mother’s day present. I think she did really well, but I am pretty sure Jay helped her pick it out!
It was a great first mother’s day, full of surprises and time spent with my two favorite people! Thanks Jay for such a memorable day!

How we spent Easter 2011
He
has
risen!
Hallelujah!
Today was a great day!
Charlotte slept through church like a champ... I am not sure if she got much from the message, but we will try explaining Easter to her next year!
After church we had some of our favorite people over and yes they did BYOM (refer to previous post)! We had chicken, hot dogs, bratwurst, steaks, pork kabobs...the works!
Thanks to the pioneer woman, all the sides turned out great! My personal favorite was the carrots and the corn...simple, easy and delicious!
At the end of the day we were all stuffed!
and tired
We hope everyone had a great Easter with your loved ones!
