easter 2013

This easter was a little more exciting than last year. This time around Charlotte was pretty excited about the "choco." Here's a look at the basket. Charlotte picked up a lap tray for coloring/art in the car, a little change purse, sidewalk chalk, bubbles and chocolate and jelly beans. Oliver didn't fare so well. He picked up some much needed socks and an obligatory onesie that says, "chicks dig me."

We dressed up Charlotte in her finest clothes to hunt for some eggs after the rain gave up.

We hope you had a great Easter. We had some friends over for lunch after church. The food was really good and it was nice to spend some time just hanging out and enjoying each other.

oliver's 1 months pictures

This month went by quickly! Oliver had his one month appointment on Friday and today he is one month old. He's plumping up and doing well. He is a laid back boy and we all love him. Every once in a while I even catch Jack, our dog checking him out and giving his head a sniff. Charlotte loves her little brother, asks to hold him and likes to help out with diaper changes by handing us wipes after a bad blowout. This whole parenting thing is much easier the second time around. Both of our mom's have been able to come in to help and just spend time with us and a good time has been had by all. Oliver has been a blessing. Enjoy these pictures of our little man. I think he likes the camera already!

It's hard to believe our little girl is 2 already. We headed down to a historical part of Richmond to take a few shots. We arrived at 4:40 and they closed at 5:00 so we had to work fast, but I think we got some good ones. Enjoy!

barnyard bash for a two year old!

We had a great weekend!  On Friday Charlotte turned two and we spent the day getting ready for her birthday party and having a chilly picnic at the park. On Saturday we headed to Maymont had a barnyard bash for our little sheep lover.  All of her favorite people were there and she seemed to have a great time!  She got to play with her friends, feed the animals, run around and eat ranch dip and go on a hay ride...who wouldn't want to spend their birthday like that!  Here is a recap of her big day!

Thanks to everyone who made Charlotte's big day so special!  It was great having so many friends to celebrate her big day.  There is no better sound than hearing the squeal of a bunch of kids as they feed goats, a big group of your favorite people singing happy birthday to your little girl or the shouts and cries as they fly along a hayride hanging on for dear life!
